Woke up after a few hours of much needed sleep at Hotel MyStays, took another shower and headed down for their buffet breakfast. Not bad for a travel hotel buffet
After breakfast and a bit of a rest I checked out and headed to the train station to navigate my way towards Toyoso where my next hotel was. This involved a few transfers, one of which I missed
(time wise) and had to refigure my route for an equivalent train and another of which involved taking the wrong train one stop and heading back. However I eventually made it to the main station
I needed to be at to hop onto the raised platform monorail. Before hopping on I locked my bags in a locker and grabbed lunch at the station.
I had to buy some desserts for later -- a cheese tart and a lava cake
After lunch I grabbed the monorail and sat through the milk-run of the 14 stops to get to my stop. This is also the stop for the Toyosu Wholesale Fish Market which I plan on eating breakfast at tomorrow.
I was still an hour early for checking in, so I had a second lunch at the hotel restarauant. A fairly decent small chirashi sushi bowl, miso soup and pickled veggies.
After checking in I took another hot shower and a nap. Then I went to a nearby onsen amusement park. I couldn't take my camera there, but it was a nice onsen experience -- several outdoor hot spring baths and about 6 indoor baths and a sauna. There was also a huge dining area where I did partake of a serving of soft serve ice cream!
I didn't feel like eating a major dinner so instead I grabbed some random items from the local Lawson store which was located adjacent to the hotel lobby. My attempt at testing "japanese food to go" from the local'7-11.
Nice view apres-dinner from my window:
