Last morning in Japan!
Woke up and took a nice hot shower and packed for departure from Ito later this morning. There is an 11:06 express train to Yokohama which should get me to yokohama station for a late lunch somewhere in
Yokohama (at least that is my plan).
Staff showed up to remove my bedding and serve breakfast--
and quite a breakfast it was
All of the above plus tea and a bowl of white rice... I am very full!
entered all this on the web and have about an hour before checkout time (it almost 9am and checkout is 10am). Then I have about an hour to get to the station and get my ticket for the train.
I will probably checkout early and walk over to the station to lock my bags up in a locker and then around town a bit before my 11:00 train.
Took the train to Yokohama and then locked my stuff up in a locker. Took another subway line to Yokohama chinatown area and then used my iPhone to check trip advisor for 'best dim sum in yokohama'.
Walked to the restaurant in question and started ordering. This was a "white table cloth" (fancy) dim sum place - no carts. One ordered and each order was just a single piece of dim sum (vs the normal 3-4 per order).
I spent about $30 on lunch but it was actually ideal for me because (1) I got to try many different dim sum's that the normal "3-4" per steamer would not have allowed me to do and (2) it was all very high quality.

AND I KNOW IT!
Trained back to Yokohama station, retrieved my bags and got a ticket to the Anamari-Inari station where Hotel Mystays is located (about 2 subway stops shy of the airport). Walked to hotel and checked in to take a nice
hot shower and crash for a few hours before dinner. Woke up and walked back to the same little hole-in-the-wall eel place I ate at a few years ago. Last time I was there it was just myself and the owner and chef. This time
the place was packed but I got one of the last spots. I showed her the picture I took a few years ago (of her) and she got all excited. Ordered an eel box with miso and tea. While I was waiting for this to show up
an older guy who spoke almost zero english sat down next to me and we spent the next 20 minutes "conversing" with a little help from my iPhone translator app. It was funny and did work. I got that he went to school with the
owner since age 6 or so, that she was (and still is) beautiful, that they have great beer here and that their food is excellent. Here's some photos of what I ate and my new friend as well as the owner lady :-)

My new friend - he got tuna sashimi ...
The owner lady...
walked back to the hotel and did a final pack. Checked out and headed for the train station and the airport. Bought some "odd" flavored kit-kats at the duty free store
for Marty and Karen, some friends in Hawaii (big boxes of them - so I hope they like matcha tea favor and strawberry flavor kit-kats!). Cleared customs and went to the lounge
(my ticket gave me access to one of them) to upload all these photos and enter the above.
My flight boards in about an hour twenty so will hang out here a bit and then head to the plane to fly back to Kona!
