Got up feeling all better and met Bob & Shirley for a walk to breakfast around 9:30am.
I stopped at Umm, the local Bahn Mi restaurant window just around the corner from the apartment, and picked up two Egg & Bacon Bahn Mi's cut into 4 pieces for us to share for breakfast.
Shirley made a stop at the local bakery to pickup some chocolate croissants and then we walked another block to a good coffee restaurant and ordered some latte's to drink with these breakfast treats.

Afterwards we walked about a mile along the beach boardwalk to some stores where I was able to find several individual serving vietnamese french presses to bring home with me & for gifts.
Of course we also had to go into ANOTHER coffee shop and get more coffee!
We made a run of several fruit stands on the way back home and Shirley purchased some sliced papaya to take home.

We parted ways for an hour nap/rest and then met again around noon to walk over to another local restaurant called "Ken Ta", for lunch.
I ordered a shrimp and chicken mango salad dish, Bob ordered some Pho and Shirley ordered some Bun Ca. We also shared an order of
a nice grilled eggplant dish for the table.

Afterwards we walked a few blocks to a great english tea shop, the Windsor Tea House, for tea and dessert. This shop is owned by a couple that bought it for retirement and also own a farm that produces much of the tea in Thailand.
The wife makes great pastry treats and the couple has over 30 different unique teas, each of which they have a corked "sniffer bottle" for folks to whiff as well as detailed description of in a menu type book.
We ended up ordering a pot of the "mango sticky rice tea" (which didn't have this in it, but smelled just like this great thai dessert dish). In addition I ordered a strawberry terra cotta dessert, Bob ordered a NY cheesecake, and Shirley a fresh home made scone with jam and butter.

After a long and relaxing tea and dessert we walked back to the apartment and parted ways until dinner, which would be our rescheduled visit to "Nen Restaurant" this evening.
I'm going to post an entirely standalone page for the dinner as it was so amazing..
