woke up and had another piece of the nice cake from Haneda airport.
My hotel room came with breakfast so I went down to the breakfast buffet and had a little snack.
Nothing worth mentioning, though the buffet was okay.
Then I took a train and walked to one of the local fish market streets for breakfast. This was
the "Nito fish market". I took some pictures and then picked a place to eat.
check out the live crab tank
Some cool statues there...
The first place I ate at was just an outdoor vendor that would sell and grill up a full scallop to eat on the spot...
See this video for his making the scallops
Then I found a restaurant in an alleyway with lots of people eating there which had a sushi don bowl with scallops, crab and maguro!
After breakfast headed back to the hotel and passed out for a few hours... then it was time for lunch!
Decided to go back to the department store upper floor restaurant row to try and find a japanese BBQ place. Very similar to a Korean BBQ place.
check out the meat cooking---
It was fun good food, but way too much meat for me! Although it did come with a bowl of cabbage and some veggies of sorts...
After that I needed some dessert! So I found a hokkaido ice cream place and got their "#1 pick"
which was basically a vanilla milk ice cream. Very smooth and nice!
Thinking I was "done" I took some escalators back down towards ground level but
was "attacked" by a parfait shop! Had to stop and eat one of these!!
And then on the way back to the hotel had to buy some melon bread and some
sweet bread twists for snacking on later tonight...
Entered all this in and time for a nap!
For dinner decided to go to a curry restaurant and try some local curry... it was beef, mushroom and spice... Tasted good but not really my thing (just a bucket list item)
Of course i had to get another cheese pastry as I walked back to the hotel...
