Headed out for breakfast to find a place (Kajitsuen Tokyo) that I discovered on the internet which (1) is open at 7am for breakfast and (2) specializes in fresh fruit for breakfast.
It took me about 20 minutes of wandering around Tokyo Station to find the place! But I did!
I ordered their pancakes and fresh fruit. Two pancakes small-to-medium sized, whipped cream, and a huge portion of bananas, kiwi, mango and strawberries. There were a couple of blueberries and one raspberry thrown in as well. More than enough for a full breakfast.
Went back to hotel room for a nap until around 10;30am or so... . things don't tend to open 'en mass' until 10 or 11am here...
Lunch at sushi restaurant Sapporo Taruzen, another sushi place I found on a site on the web.
Back to the hotel for a long nap followed by a dinner of eel!
After dinner time for a dessert parfait -- so back to the same place I had breakfast (Fruit Parlor Kajitsuen) for one of their huge multi-fruit parfaits,,,.
Here are "all the angles" as I rotated the serving dish around...
Headed back to the hotel for a few hours of rest before it is time checkout and navigate the subway back a few stations to hook up with the
monorail that heads to Haneda airport. These all shutdown around midnight so I want to leave around 10pm to make sure that if I have any issues
I've got a few more backup trains. Sadly once at the airport I've got a major wait -- flight which was supposed to leave at 2AM was rescheduled to 3AM... so
probably about 4 hours there followed by a 6 hour flight to Danang...
Good thing I had a good dinner and dessert!
