Nothing major planned today after yesterdays all out all day adventure!
Woke up and eventually made my way to giant breakfast buffet. Went through four plates, two pineapple juices and a "milk coffee" that the fancy machine made for me.
I had hoped this was like the milk coffee's in Kuala Lumpur, but it was really just a regular coffee with milk foam in it. Oh well, still tasted good!
I will post lots of buffet pictures later tonight.
Cuts of Duck!!! yum!!!

And the 4th "plate" (well, technically a bowl)
a "milk coffee", but it was really just a foamed milk coffee...
Went back to the room and went back to sleep -- really needed a long 2 hour nap, which I got.
Then I went out on my private covered lounge area and worked on the computer for a few hours to catch up on posting all of rest of yesterday afternoon and evenings photos.
It's really nice and MUCH more quiet that the original room! Also did some reading of my kindle and relaxing in the outdoor private pool
Just finishing this up around 12:30pm and plan on going somewhere for lunch, but not sure if I'll stay on property and
use their beach front restaurant or if I will walk off property and find some stand or local restaurant to eat at.
Went off towards the restaurant I ate at the first night, either to eat there or somewhere else if I spotted something interesting.
Along the way I found a stand, which seems somewhat common here, selling fish paste in different "formats" that they they grill up.
I got a skewer of two "prawns", but knowing they were "mock prawns". Still tastes good though!
Had nothing to do with lunch, just thought this was cool :-)
Reached the restaurant I had eaten at two nights ago and they were open and relatively empty for lunch, so I sat down and ordered.
I got another mango shake and and a lunch plate of fried pork in a penang curry (peanut curry) sauce which came with a big scoop of white rice.
It was the prefect size for lunch, but then I decided I should also get dessert. It took a while, as they got a little crowded, but I ordered a dessert
which ended up being a pancake (though of a more yellow flour format than our US based pancake batter) with cut up banana circles in it. This
came with a thick dark honey sauce. Pretty good!
picture menus make life so easy!
Nice lunch -- headed back to hotel for another nap!
Took a swim in the hotel pool (the one with the giant elephants shooting water at everyone) and relaxed for a while there. Then headed back to the
private lanai and read my book for a while. Following that I took yet another nap!
Woke up and decided that for dinner I wanted seafood, but I didn't want the long wait at the place Ive been going to. So I headed back to the beach
and along the beach to the "Wharf" area that I'd walked the night before. Yes, its a bit touristy, but there were some places with the fish on display out front
that they grill up for you. Here's the beach in front of the hotel as I walked that way.
As I reached one of the restaurants on the Wharf area my choice was made for me. The had a friendly feline out front who immediately headed my way
as if to say "eat here, Mister"!
I think you need to eat here, Mister!
And I'm going to trip you up if you don't stop and get me some fish!
So the decision was made (by the cat)
They had a "1 person special" with lots of shellfish and fish, potato, corn, and a salad. Not "as cheap" as the local Thai place has been, but
only around $30 USD... which for a "touristy restaurant" was actually okay with me (expensive for Thailand, but ...)
Also, to validate my choice the other kind (the doggies!) came en-mass up the stairs and on the beach in front of the place:
Mango Shake
Better contrast shows View Behind Shake!
I don't normally eat oysters, but this one was very good!
Green lipped Muscles and other shellfish --
The Main Plate
Crab and Prawn Closeups
All in all a very filling meal!
Headed a bit further along the Wharf area and got another ice cream cup -- this time it was "banana" -- good, but I think I like Mango-Passionfruit better.
Finished this off and headed back to my room to enter this in and read my book a little more. I might take another soak in the private soaking pool on my
lanai before I go to bed. Travel day tomorrow -- checkout around 11:20am and a quick ride to the airport, followed by a few hour wait for my 15:15pm fight.
I bet I could leave later and not worry about it, but I tend to err on the side of early arrivals at the airport.
