Woke up with plans to have an early breakfast and then a 10AM Dim Sum, but ended up spending my morning in the room until 10am because something I ate or drank last night
didn't agree with my stomach. Ugh. Fortunately I have the right travel OTC medications with me so I stay hydrated and felt a little better around 10am. I headed down to meet
with Bob and Shirley for Dim Sum, ordered some items and had a sip of tea, but alas, my travelers bug said "nope! You're not even drinking tea", so I headed back to my room and spent
a few more hours between bedroom and bathroom recovering. Fortunately made it where I had to make it without 'an incident' :-). I will spare the readers any other details.
Its now about 2:45pm here and I am feeling much better and have been able to drink a few water bottles and some coca cola. Fingers crossed that I'm okay for gong out tonight.
So not much to put into the web site today, other than one other weird issue with this nice hotel. The rooms are kept really really cold and there is no easy to way to warm them up.
I turned off the AC and hid under the covers, even wearing my small assortment of winter tops, as well as taking a shower (water is hot but not scalding like in Japan).
In the end when I called Bob to let him and Shirley know I was still among the living he pointed out to me that the reason we couldn't open a section of the widows was a single
phillips head screw holding the lever shut. Apparently the tea spoon and this screw are a near perfect fit :-) Window now open a little and lots of warm
air from outside now blowing in. Other than this one oddness it is a nice room/hotel...
Didn't end up going out -- just to be safe. Bob and Shirley were nice enough to provide me with some fruit, cereal and milk which I ate for dinner.
And just to add a nice photo, the night before I had taken this shot outside the hotel of the hotel itself. I'm up on the 27th floor (there are 30+ floors):
